Principal's Message

Steven Casperite, Principal

As the newly appointed principal of Placer School for Adults, where I have previously served as the Coordinator of Programs and the Assistant Principal, I am delighted to share some exciting news about PSA. Starting from the academic year 2024-25, PSA will join hands with the Nevada Joint Union High School District and The Tahoe Truckee Union High School District to provide classes and programs to Nevada County and the Tahoe Truckee region. This expansion means that the same high-quality education for adults, which includes high school diploma, GED, ESL, and Career Technical Education classes that we have provided in Auburn and Western Placer County, will now be accessible at these new locations.

Moreover, PSA will introduce new Career Technical Education courses that align with regionally and nationally recognized certifications, leading to better-paying jobs and further education and training opportunities. We will also expand our ESL courses for English language acquisition and citizenship preparation. Additionally, our online courses in many of our academic and career technical programs will enable students to participate both in person and online.

At PSA, our mission is to help every student achieve their full potential in life and allow them to learn and grow. We believe in educating and elevating our students and the communities we serve, and we are honored to be a part of your journey. We warmly invite you to explore PSA's new offerings and share your valuable feedback. If you see me in your community or on your campuses, please do not hesitate to reach out and say hello.

Sincerely,

Steven Casperite
